Thinkin about gettin these wheels...

So I went to a local shop that has nearly every kind of wheel you could imagine... most of which are ridiculous looking chrome wheels and what not... but they also have a lot of wheels for sports cars/imports/etc. The guy asked what bolt pattern, wheel size, finish, etc I wanted, and suggested these wheels (17x7.5 of course)

I like em, honestly. I think it'll give the 'vert a little more VIP status lol. And complete with tires and all labor, he said he could work it down to a little under $1200.
What do you guys think?

What finish would you be getting them in?

Probably chrome. I'll see if I can get em a bit wider. 7.5 isn't all that wide... but then again I don't have super high aspirations for a 2.4L powered 240 weighing in at close to 2 tons.

They look pretty nice, but heavy.

See if you can find them on tirerack.com or edgeracing.com. It might be cheaper.

hahaha yeah i hear ya man.
If anything you could score a set of fairly used 2nd hand wheels with better offsets and sizes, touch them up a bit and really look Balla-Balla VIP

Those aren't too bad but remind me of Honda Accords/Civics too much

I can't find any half decent used wheels ANYWHERE; zilvia is a 5 lug or mesh community, club240 is pretty stagnant, 240sxforums doesn't ever have any rims for sale.

I was thinking about getting some from rbmotoring, but there really aren't any that I like, except a set of 16" longchamps...

Tire Rack and Edge have ridiculously high offset wheels. If I'm droppin cash, I'm not gonna be sunken like stock wheels.

5 lug = more cash I gotta spend (close to $600)... and also, I don't have the time or the tools needed to do so anymore. When I worked for my dad I had a whole machine shop at my disposal.

5lug swap should be $400 max. i spent around 200 on mine. so that leaves you with at least $800 to find wheels. easy.

Yeah it would be nice if you could switch to 5 bolt but I see were you are coming from Kev. (more money, more time)
But if you are going for the sexi vip look, I dont think those things would cut it.

Its corey, dude. lol.
Anyway, while drifting in the rain with my Domino's sign on my trunk I thought of something... a decision, really...
RB20 or wheels? Which to do first...
