I retract my previous statements and apologize to Helghast. I learned 10x more than I knew about offsets reading this thread. I dont know how anybody could not understand offsets after reading this. Sticky?

I might get for this question, but whatever. So the +15 in the offset means 15mm of the center line? So if I see rims on a 240 that I like how it fits that measure 18x9 +20 and the rims I want to get measure 18x9 +15; if I just buy 5mm spacers and install them, I will have the 18x9 +20 look I want?

adding 5mm spacers to +15 wheels would effectively lower the offset to +10. +15 would mean the hub bolts on the wheel 15mm in front of the center of the wheel. a -15 would mean it bolts to the wheel 15mm behind the center of the wheel. I'm going to close this thread since there is alot of misinformation and flaming. I hope i answered your question.
