do u provide the motor or naw? kuz the motor go for around 2200 for a front clip i think wat if i get that and bring it to them how much would labor cost then? juss askin im not going to do it yets kuz im only 17 n im broke as a joke...

I'd have to recommend Garage Works as well. I don't have a SR, but I know a few peeps who have gotten their swaps done there. Really good work, clean installs, and their pricing is pretty decent. They're located in Palmdale. Check them out at.... Garage Works

Here Raine - these are some general prices for shops that are local to us. Palmdale is a little far, so this might give you some options. Maybe you have seen them already. Anyway they give a lot of good info on normal shop swap policies. Here are some that I used in my research.

btw. The garage works website stated 4000 for a s13 redtop into a s14 chasis.
Another piece of advice would be to make a list of all services you would expect from a shop, from the normal wiring and motor installation to having your engine bay and your new(used) motor washed. This comes in handy when getting your swap done.
Things to watch out for -
When a shop offers the motor in the install, see if they are using a sr motorset or an actual front clip. There is a huge price difference in these two. And if you don't catch this, I have seen other guys being forced to purchase things they weren't planning on upgrading like the radiator, fans, and fmic. These things aren't included with a motorset. And most of the time guys are waiting for their clips to arrive that some places cannot guarantee the condition of the parts on there. And you will not know until they actually receive the clips. And if you have a non refundable deposit down you are now stuck. A good shop will let you know in advance or warn you at least.
I will help you out with this stuff.
So in the meantime this would be some good reading material and give you general knowledge on prices for replacement parts and upgrade parts.

Rechecked the Garageworks site and you're right... I wasn't paying attention to the "89-94" part.
Also, I think I've already decided to go the whole "front clip" route since, as you said a lot of what I need (if not all depending on the clip itself) is already there. I'd rather not have to go hunting for parts here and parts there.
My heart is set on an S14 SR, but if there really anything wrong with going with a redtop in my 1995? I know the S14 SR has the variable timing, about 20 or so more HP, and less mileage... but it also adds about $1300-1400 to the cost of the swap from what I've been told on the phone.
