Bad Night in the Canyons

Went driving tonight up at a certain mountain. I was driving my buddies WRX and on the way down I was taking a left hander and all the sudden the rear end started coming around. Feeling the spin beginning to happen I countersteered but I guess I started countersteering to late, or didnt do it fast enough. Either way I was able to stop it from fulling spinning out but basically I ended up perpendicular to a wall and the inertia carried the car into it. Luckily it ran into a huge pile of sand instead of the rock parts that are along must of this particular run. Started the car again, backed up and went and parked at the lot at the bottom of this run. Got out, checked it out. As soon as I got out of the car, I could tell that the front bumper was sticking out. Went and messed around with it a little and the bumper went back into proper alignment. A rather noticeable chunk of the front bumper is gone. Might be able to cover it up with a lip but I dunno. And one of his foglight covers is ****ed up. So now I'm going to have to pay for that. *sigh

That totally sucks, espically since it was your friends car. I'm sure he was pissed, at least I would've been. Learn from your mistakes.

nah he wasn't pissed...both of us are sensible people and he understands that sometimes when you drive up there you **** up...I mean he's messed up before to. We both understand that accidents happen. I will pay for the damages so its all good. Luckily his bumper was stock and not something expensive like C-west or anything. Its not that bad but a chunk is missing...I'll see if we can make it out to the meet tonight.

a lip will cover most of it up...just a tiny section will be showing...I think the chargespeed lip might cover it all up...but whatever.
