What fuel setup to do for low boost KA24DE?

I'm thinking you could do one or the other?
FMU with upgraded fuel pump

or

Bigger Injectors

Or for a small boost application (under 7psi) would you need to do anything? (can the stock setup handle it?)

What is everyone else doing for their setup? any comments welcome. Thanks.

yeah, i say a stock pump could handle under 7 psi.
but i would atleast upgrae the pump. atleast that way you could use you stock injectors till they max out.
your a/f will be skikey, but you will be able to boost.
you would really want electronic/piggy back fuel control.
that way you will be able to maximize all aspects

I would never reccomend keeping the stock injectors, regardless of the low boost levels. Dont get me wrong, the stock system could support some low boost levels but not efficiently. Both the injectors and the pump cant flow and perform at high or efficient levels.
Fuel management is still necessary. With low levels (below 6 lbs) a rising rate fuel pressure regulator could be used. At higher levels, an electronic system should be used (reprogramed ecu, piggyback or standalone).

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions.

well how about this then? FMU with SR (370cc) injectors? It will probably run rich but otherwise this setup should work with around 7psi correct?

With MAF (i'm used to hondas that use MAP sensors), if I have the setup of FMU and bigger injectors, would that take care of all the problems while boosting? Will the MAF see the extra air coming in and just provide more fuel (and it will be able to becasue of the bigger injectors and FMU)?

Tell me if my logic is off here. On a honda you would use an AFC hack that tricks the ECU to think there's no boost. But with MAF, it seems you wouldn't have to.

What u could do is run a hacked MAF. Its really simple. If u look at the MAF, u'll notice that it has a filter or screen of some sort on both ends. This creates a physical resistance. All u have to do is remove those screens/filters, and u're set. This will allow more air to come in and cause the ecu to demand more fuel.

so removing the 2 screens that are on the both side is called hacked MAF? hmmmm

this is what i'm most likey doing
already have the FMU 8:1 ratio , Walbro fuelpump soon , and you said it hacked maf !? ;-)

what do you guys think of that .... i'll be about 7psi or 8 but not more than that untill i've some more $ to spend.....

you have to have fuel pump and the FMU though, i don't know about the INJECTOR ... i think you 'll have to reprograme your ECU to get that working !

my 2 cent

the screens arent a hacked MAF, its actually mounting the hotwire module onto a new pipe with a larger inner daimeter

i would think with safc you can up your injector flow by 50% which should be plenty for 6-8 psi, pump and injectors are a good idea though.what fmu are you runnin?

For fuel, I ended up getting an AFC and SR20DET injectors (370cc). Got them for cheap. AFC for $55 and injectors for $80.
