no actually i had a civic got bored, missed rear wheel drive, had an rx7-so what i meant was i never worked on a sr20det motor, and i didnt swap it in a shop did, the only problem was i bought it with a blown turbo...so i needed a new one, i put it in...came on here to see if i possibly messed anything up, but luckily the only help i got was a couple of a**holes responses, considering at one point or another you were in my place, dont think your really hot sh** because every single person in the world had to learn how to do something....but atleast i learned my lession never listen to a bunch of kids that dream they actually had the cars they say they do...thats all to the people that can actually help me with my question i hope you can, the rest that like to flame on kids trying to learn **** can have fun...cus honestly its funny! so in reality keep it comin im loving it...and its funny because out of the two of you did you actually do any of the work yourself or did you go to a shop and say mommy gave me money put this on...

The flaming can get a little out of hand sometimes~ usually better on this site than others though. Did you replace the turbo yourself? Didn't the shop that swapped the engine for you start the car, drive it around and make sure everything was working fine? How did you find out you had a blown gasket? If it you really do have a blown head gasket, then that should be your primary concern to get the car back on the road.

1.) your car smokes you stated that you have milky oil. That usually mean BLOWN headgasket.
2.) You only specify that at "high RPM" the car smokes. Not what color the smoke is or if there is a odd sent to the smoke.
So with that said.
I do ALL the work on my cars. Im not funded by mom and dad. Im funded by robbing banks and steal from the elderly.
Unlike you i can diagonsis my own issues and repair them, at the same time give stupid newbs like you valuable information.
I build race cars as a hobby. So i kinds know my way around these things. Be careful what you say and whom you say it to.
So again SELL YOUR CAR you FAIL at life.

no see i sad when i started it up it had smoked, which i found out was a comon occurance, yes i did replace the turbo myself, the coolant was not really milky it had white swirls, which i guess are air pockets, i still have to diagnoss that, but after i restarted it the smoke subsided. they said it was fine, but i think the turbo was on its way out when i bought it, the hot pipe was covered in a layer of oil, so i got my new turbo on and now i have to like i said diagnos the situation...im pretty sure its not a blown headgasket but if it is, i guess a shops doing that for one reason i dont have the tools. and im sorry but im an 18 year old kid that is tryin to start a shop up and is learning how ot do all these thngs themselfs, and its not really helpful when all you get are flames...

when u start a car it usually smokes a lil cause its condensation on the oil burning off no biggie ( depends what color it is). also how can a 18yr old kid start up his own shop??? and i dont see how white swrils can be air pockets if u had air pockets u would overheat

I'm not trying to get in the middle of this situation or whatever and I know I don't post a lot on this forum, but the kid is asking for help LandHo_S13 and Helghast. Like he said, he has to start somewhere and I know that you all didn't just learn this **** over night. So stop being *** holes. If you're not gonna help the kid out... then don't post and move on. Good god.

No problem man, These guys do have a point though... Doing your own research really helps you out, but in the same time they take the forum way to seriously and need to get a life. It would be to your benefit to get a Chilton 240 sx do it yourself book... it really helps man, and if you can't figure out what the problem is, PM me and I'll see if I can help you man. Take it easy. oh btw... a good way to check to see if the head gasket is blown is to do the bubble test. Fill a bottle up with water then disconnect the line going from the radiator to the over flow container, put the hose in the bottle, turn on the car and let it run... if it blows bubbles after its completely warmed up then you have a blown head gasket.
