tell me what u guys think. The car will be for drifting, im only wanting to make 350 hp. heres the specs, I wanna keep good low end i dont want something that will have too much lag.

RB25DET
S13

The rb25 has a t3 flange so i was thinking a t3/t4 ball bearing but let me know what u guys think. what trim n all that stuff would u suggest?

you could try 50 trim, something like .63a/r. its i think on the smaller end of the spectrum. not tiny by any means, but should spool a little faster. are you gonna use the stock injectors? what kind of engine management will you be using? stock+piggy, stand-alone, re-flash, or stock+fpr. i might have left something out. also are you upgrading the injectors? or any part of the fuel system for that matter. if you have questions call cheapturbo.com they are very helpfull.

gt35r lol

yes i do plan on upgrading the injectors but not right away, i know the stock injectors can handle up to 400 hp no problem. As far as fuel system, dont know too much about that to tell u the truth, but a fc commander is what i was looking at, i read it allowed you to adjust air/fuel ratios throughout the rpm (dont take my word for it though)

And as far as that gt35r... how about something a little more reasonable? lol That would just be too much for what im trying to do. but thanks anyway.

Quesiton, still learning, but could anyone explain to me what the .XX A/R means and such things and the trim size, haven't really learned that much about it.

Anyone have anymore suggestions?

wrong
for 400whp you are going to need something beter than the stock injectors like 550cc or biger... really you shoul maybe even go with some 720cc for safety

the gt30r is another good choicec

Most places say the max they would go with 550cc injectors is 350 any higher and you will need 720+ . I belive stock 370cc injectors crap out at anything above 300hp but stock MAF can only handle about 270whp.

Exclamation dang

My b... i thought the injectors where a lot bigger then that. so yo guys would suggest 550cc or the larger 700+ injectors, what about a fuel managment system? think i should get a Apexi FC and just get it tuned on a dyno after all the mods are installed?

I plan on getting the z32 MAF sensor, so im not really worried about that.

And as far as that turbo
I would u suggest the 76.2mm or 56mm trim?
And the .82A/R or 1.06A/R?

Thanks for the info i'll will probably end up getting the gt30r, its says it spools faster then a t3/4 hybrid and has better efficency. Sounds really nice.

Thanks guys

only get 720s if your going to get an FC or some other stand-alone. piggy wont work on that big of an injector. as for a/r: the bigger the number on the turbine side will take more to get to full boost, in other words higher engine speeds is required to boost up. but flow capacity is increased, less backpressure and volumetric efficiency is increased. resulting in more power.
bigger compressor a/r is good for low boost applications.
as for trim sizes: this describes both the turbine and compressor wheels size by area. trim is figured by using the exducer and inducer diameters. as the numbers go up it will allow the wheel to handle more air flow basically.

Thanks guys, sounds like a plan. I appreciate all the info, thats what makes this forum.

with a 2.5 inline 6 how fast do you think the .82a/r 76mm trim would spool up, say at what rpm would the power really kick in. its sounds like a larger turbo although it is ball bearing so i was thinking between 2500-3500 rpm? I know there are alot more variables, but just an estimated guess what would u guys think?

i would get is the mid 3000 and its all relitive to the amout of boost...

just make sure you get a copper head gasket if you are boosting up.
