oil starvation

My car reads no oil pressure. my mechanic and i pulled the oil gears and checked and primed the oil pump. There seemed to be no problems so we reassembled. and still no oil pressure.
NOTE. there were impressions left by some matter on the teeth of the gears it looked like a tiny rock or something was in there.

So let me know if i need to do something else or if there is something im missing that needs to be checked. Thanks

The engine is a sr20det in a 92 240sx

if the teeth look in any way damaged, replace the whole oil pump. better than having to rebuild the whole engine because of thrown rod bearings.

quadruple-check the oil pan for dents. if there is ANY indication that the pan is not 100% perfect, replace it. i have the GReddy pan (extra capacity and baffles to boot) and it is rather thick and will not dent. just crack if i hit something really hard and then it's easy to spot seriously though: bad oil pan will kill your engine.
