There are ENDLESS websites that have this info. 90% of the people who say they are gonna do the swap dont so PLEASE you guys if you have a question about a swap search Google, or use the search on this website and look up old convo's on it. Not mad, just sick of seein the same question OVER and OVER again. later

ive read almost every post on the ca18det on ********** and searched google many times i havnt found much on this subject.
i thought it would of been nice to have this thread on this forum for people who come here more information you know ? and i wanted to know little things i might of missed so im not halfway in the swap and need to order these little parts. every time someone opens up a post like this there is at least one person who knows nothing about the subject that says SEARCH well how about you search and youll find nothing aswell or how about if you did find anything instead of being an ******* you could post it here to help us out. if you got no usefull information or no questions on this subject please dont post here.

??? What is your problem? Your probably just some high school kid talkin Sh**. Did I say anything towards you? NO so calm down. Do you know what I DO for a living?????? NO YOU DONT, I didnt say a single thing towards you. Your taking out your ka................and putting in a CA.........OR MAYBE you wanna put the SR in...........came out of the saaaaame kinda car..........well maybe you need the SAAAAME STUFF as the SR swap. Its just common sense man, I never said one thing towards you. I donno what your problem is but this isnt a honda forum, we dont just start talkin trash about each other, we all drive nissans so take yourself to another board.

I KNOW! Im sick of all these newbies and kids coming along thinking they KNOW everything and talking trash. These boards arent the greatest for information anyway. By the way I have done a CA swap to a 95 240sx. Same thing as the SR pretty much guys. still bolts right in, need all the stuff off the ca and for the CA as the SR does. Now I KNOW that is listed all over the place. But guys, this isnt a civic forum were we talk crap about each other and each others cars. SO get that and then come back, thanks

ok, this thread has grown to be pretty senseless. there is no need for all this ridiculous bickering about nothing. ok, here goes:

evil98 -> from what i've read (unless u guys been pm'ing each other) the only "trash talk" from ilsha was

i didn't see anything in there about him claiming to know everything or saying that his car was better, etc etc. that said, i understand about telling him to search. while i haven't searched for "how to's" on the ca18 swap, i know that there are members here and elsewhere (nico, 240sxforums, automotiveforums...) who have personally done one. so it would make since to, in this case, peep out someone who as personally done one, and hit them up for info. and yeah, the ca18det did come out of the same chassis as our S13's, so it's almost common knowledge that if u get a front clip, it should be plug and play (or pray? )...

ilsha -> it looks to me like u overreacted to evil98's post. and it was wrong for u to accuse him of not having knowledge about the swap without finding out what he knows. his response, while possibly abrasive, is pretty well justified. as i mentioned above, there should not be a whole lot of research involved to find out what is needed. however, u did do the right thing by searching for info first. as i said, i haven't searched for a ca18 swap guide, so i don't know if there is one available. i'll give u the benefit of the doubt though, in that the sr20 swap is so insanely popular, u can't even skim thru **** sites w/o finding info about that one. hopefully, u'll find the answers u seek...

anyway fellas, what i see is two legitimate arguments, and two over-the-top reactions to said arguments. some members are tired of answering (what appear to be) the same questions over and over, and some new members (while having actually tried looking for info) are frustrated by the nonchalant "go search, newbie" responses. in the end, a hostile approach to either situation resolves nothing. let's try to keep that in mind so that we don't go from club240.com to toweringinferno.com...

for starters:
http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/sh...hlight=ca18det
http://www.srswap.com (which i read somewhere that the sr and ca swaps are nearly identical)

ok, that took like 3 1/2 minutes. now, someone has posted links. happy now? who's not here to help? for God's sake, man. calm down a minute. if i find more, i'll post them...

RS13 -> no prob. i would have posted more, but i was leaving work as i read this thread, so i popped up the first two that seemed decent before i left. to aid in the search, i'll put up a few places that i think would be the best bet to look around. keep in mind, registration may be required for some sites, but hell, it's free...

http://www.nissaninfiniticlub.net
http://www.240sxforums.com
http://www.automotiveforums.com
http://www.az**********
http://www.srswap.com
http://www.zilvia.net
http://www.nissanforums.com
http://www.northwestnissans.com
http://www.freshalloy.com
http://www.neo240sx.ca

basically, when i go to search, these are some of the places i go (in addition to searching yahoo!, google, altavista, webcrawler, inktomi...)

as far as an unwillingness to help others, i don't see much of that around here. the last thing we need is people running around with elitist attitudes. and i think most here agree w/that. also, i don't believe that (most of) the members here feel that they are all-knowing. well, speaking for myself, i know that i probably possess the least amount of knowledge here. but whatever little insignificant specks of info i do have, all are more than welcome to it. and while i may not know much, usually i'm pretty keen on knowing where/how to find what i'm looking for...

thanx. one thing that might help (w/the japanese, at least) is to use babelfish to translate the page. there's a field where u can copy and past the url and select the languages to translate to/from. it's a lifesaver when i'm looking for registration codes for software...
