Garrett GT-RS

I can get a very good deal on this turbo and I remember seeing somewhere that this is a direct replacement for the SR. Anyone know this for sure?

I'm not sure that it is, but if you check to see what type of flange fitting it is that should tell you. Anything that is for a T25, or T28 should be a stock replacement. But I could be wrong.

Well, the stock turboes on SR's HyJynx are either a T28 or T25. So a T3 flange wouldn't be a "stock replacement". I could be wrong, but I think I'm on the money when I say that if the turbo you plan on purchasing does not bolt up to a T28 type of flange, the turbo won't be a replacement for stock. You would have to look into the JGS log style manifold found on many performance sites, or have one custom made.

Your right my bad, had a part mixed up. S13 SRs come with T25 and i belive S14 SRs come with T28. But a T3/T4 with a T25 flange will work right? I get confused with turbos..not my greatest area

Absolutely. If it has the correct flange the turbo will bolt up.

are you talking about the Garrett GT28RS, aka the disco potato? If so, where are you getting from and for how much?

Well, as long as my distributor didnt mess up on the pricing, I found it for $700. I am in the process of double checking with him that everything is correct. (aka it IS the GT28RS)

according to Sport Compact Car, it pushed 280WHP at 15 psi. It produces 5 psi at only 2000rpm and full boost at 3000rpm.
