failed compression test

Could be a bad valve. Is this cold or hot engine? Try putting a little oil in the low cylinders and see if that fixes it. Could also be the HG.

If its a turbo motor, maybe it was overboosted and it has bad rings in those two cylinders. Prolly not though just cuz with over boosting all the cylinders usually have the same low reading. Like Hyjynx said, might be bad valves. Put a layer of liquid soap around the head gasket and manually crank the motor, if you see bubbles, its the head gasket.

it can be a combination of things......think aboot it, what is the area that is being compressed? Now, where can that compression go to if its not being contained....either up or down. Going up would cause it to be a bad hg or down would give you blow by/bad rings/broken ringlands/etc.
