DIY-T into the KA24DE

What it do? Well I just bought the turbo parts from an SR20 and I will be using all the OEM Parts to make my KA turbo. I want to know how will this Set-up run? Im not looking into being FAST FAST! or turn this Beauty into a Driftin' machine.. I want atleast a good amount of power from 200 - 250hp. Daily driven, So what im asking.. How much power will I gain from this Set-up?

Stock manifold
Stock t25 turbo
Stock pipings
Stock intercooler w/bov
Stock injectors

parts i will be using.

afc II
hks bov
fuel reg

im scared with this setup i wont even able to touch 200hp.. lol let me now guys.. thanks!

Manifold won't work, piping will be off. You need to fix that first (KA and SR manifold aren't interchangeable).

You also need other stuff, like fuel pump, a wastegate (you got two BOV's listed), intake, downpipe, + the mentioned ex. manifold and intake piping.

...oh and you'll need someone to tune it right. It's not just bolt-in and go, and the AFC2 can only do so much (BTW, how do you plan on tuning the AFC2? Guessing? Using published settings for another car?)

The stock sr20 manifold is going to require a good bit of modification to fit the Ka. If you are up for doing the cutting and weldiing then give it a shot, otherwise it makes almost more sense to just get one for cheap from JGS or even the SSA. As for the "Fuel reg" if you are talking about the stock sr20 fuel pressure regulator, I believe its the same as the stock KA so I don't think your going to need it. If you are refering to a rising rate Fuel pressure regulator (FMU) you won't really need one with the SAFC and 370ccs. Your going to want to pick up a Walboro 255lph fuel pump though. With a good tune you can expect around 200-205rwhp and a very nice bit of torque. Good Luck with your setup.

I dont like FMU

Stock T25 has a wastegate on it. It also has quick spool but dies out way before redline.

I did a stock looking KA-T with SR intercooler and piping.

You have to get creative to make the cold pipe work.

Stock SR inj and Safc II work great.

You going to get like 180hp around there with a T25.

You should go T3/T04e setup KA likes that alot. That will give you some good numbers.

Ok, Thanks for letting me know the stock turbo manifold will not work. I guess this is the part where a Ebay SSAC manifold
comes in to play. Im new to the scene of Nissan's & Turbos. January 7th 2006 I attended a 240 norcal meet at willows race
way park and had talked with a few guys. There was one who showed me his KA-T with the same set-up w/o tune as what Im plannin., He ran a 14.2 best. Im saying that isn't bad but Who knows how long it'll last before anything goes wrong? by the way Im not going to risk my KA by any harm. After the setup, I will get it tuned for every safety.

From the 240 meet, they mention the Walboro fuel pump.. Going along with the Sr20 pipes, Ill have 3 guides to help me out
they all checked out what I have and said it' can be done with slight modification. So no worrys about that and as for the T25,
they told me it has a quick spools but does not produce big numbers. I'm not concern for big powers yet, maybe one day I might feel the need for thurst and will upgrade to something bigger. Thanks for your suggestions and comments.

i wouldn't say that 205 whp in a 240 is slow... from the stock ka's power... 205 is quite a rush.

205 is a rush? . . . I don't think so, I think it's sort of a small amount of power to get up a go.. for some reason 200 isnt much but satisfiying..

you can make more then 180HP with a SR T25......i know more then 10 people that have made past 220 HP with the t25.....and i'm one of them...........i think the turbo is great for a start, but it's really is toooooooo small for the KA 2.4L...........the thing i dont like about my t25 on my ka is that it spools all the time.....none stop!! i hit my max boost of 17PSI at 2800 RPMs......i think the t3/t4 is a great choice for the ka and i'm thinking of doing the swap from a t25 to a t3/t4........

no....the only problem i have had so far with my t25 setup, is that the turbo went out on me ( Bad Seals )........so the turbo is in the shop getting rebuilt ( $350.00 ).......but it is 13 years oil.....so i'm not mad + ill have a brand new turbo to play around with........i was going to to the t28....but like you said....they are $$$$......but ill get one anyways in a few months or so and ill sell my new T25 and get some money back on it to pay for some of the t28......but other then that....no...i really cant say i have had a problem with my t25 setup.........

well i take that back....there is a little problem i have had to deal with..........my tires are lossing the thread 50% fast then when i was N/A.....due to the fact that i spin all of 1st and 2nd...........and a little of 3rd..............
