T25 is too small for the KA. Nobody would bother going through the effort of a turbo setup for a T25.

Some people say a T4 is the right size, some people say a T3 or T3/4 hybrid turbo. I dan't recall anyone installing a T28, nevermind the even smaller T25 - not on the KA at least.

I see most people using a T3/T4 turbo.

I believe AceinHole has a Volvo T25 turbo on his KA-T. It felt great when he took me for a ride at one of the Drift events. Its great for his needs because he AutoX's a lot and lag is not an option.

well that is all it is good for. once you get on the highway the top end comes quickly. the KA can boost a T66 quite well.

I don't see why a T25 or T28 is not a favorable turbo for the KA. It all depends on your needs. My T28 does fine with my SR. I highly doubt .4 liters of discplacement will adversly effect how well the turbo will work at highway speeds. The T25 will be fine even for highway usage. It'll be great for around town, but for high speed highway use(which shouldn't even be an option) the T25 will obviously fail before any other turbo out there.

.4 liters is a 20% increase in displacement. That is a significant difference.

the KA flows alot more air than a SR...it has been bench tested...for a example well take the T66 i was talking about...at around 2700or 3000rpm (have to look at the graph again) the KA was full boosting the turbo. with a T66 on a SR it would take around 3500rpm for full boost. so a T25 on a KA will top out i guess around 4krpm...which then leaves you with a turbo that doesn't do anything for almost 2krpm.

barrigaS14.......that is very true. my thing about turbos is why not get a bigger one it doesnt hurt....... what i would do is if i had a stock KA with no piston or anything, you through away the t25 or t28 and you go with something bigger like a t04e or so depending on what you deside on. the bigger turbo you get the less psi you have to push to make the same power. like say you were boosting 20 psi on a t25 you only have to boost 6-7 psi , if you car is tuned right, on the t04e. we all know that the stock KA wont last to long at all with you boosting 20 psi on it. so if i were you i would get a bigger one. that is what i am doing on mine.

huh? all i was saying is that a T25 on a KA is kinda small unless you are doing something along the lines of autox. other than that the T25 runs out of gas really quick and then you have a problem. i am still trying to understand what you said.

i was saying that there is no point in puttin ga t25 on your car it is a waist or time and money. save your money and get a bigger one. you were talking about ithe t25 is good for autox, why would you want a small turbo for autox, because it spools up faster? you can get any turbo to spool as fast or even faster then a t25 just change that turbo turbine.

just curious...have you autox'd before? because a small turbo would work wonders. the normal autox course is small and tight. making cars with low end grunt very very good rather than something with high end kick. because when you come out of a turn in 2nd the low end is going to be very welcomed for making the exit that much faster. a T25 will spool very quickly and in theory giving you more power down low. so it would work. i don't think that swapping a smaller turbine on a bigger turbo will work as well on a autox course as a T25.
