i was looking at another forum the other day and there were a bunch of people saying that tein was garbage and jic was the best. i always thought tein was a great company for suspension, but if u agree w/ those guys could u tell me why please?

 

TEIN is a great suspension company, and so is JIC. It opinoin. If i said the president is a retard is it true? Yes it is, but i couldnt think of a better example.

 

yeah.. but does anybody have any true reasons why they would say tein wasn't that great?

 

I cannot think of any specifics that would make people dislike tein. I have always found their products to be of superb quality.

It could always be fanboys who will flame anything that isn't on their cars.

 

I cant remember exactly why people dont like Tein, But I believe it has something to do with not being able to rebuild them.

Personally I have some experience with Tein Suspensions, and they are great. I like them a lot. Its always a JIC Vs Tein battle

well that would be some bs since tein dampers are rebuildable.

 

then how are tanabes, im looking at getting a set of sustec pro ss-type 2's, just making sure they are a good coilover

 

Tein doesnt put the workmanship into thier coils that JIC does. But i would rather deal with Tein America than JIC America.

 

i dont' understand why they wouldn't put the workmansip into their products since they are a pretty popular company, but do u mind saying why u'd prefer to deal w/ tein america than jic america?

 

maybe it's a "played out" type of hate, where since a lot of people have them, those who don't get all feelings about it

 

my buddy has jic on his s14 and it's awesome. BUT on the flt2's apperently the dampener **** gets stuck in the front.. and jic wont send them to anyone .. they've got more friends with them and a few ppl are complaining i guess but to no avail.. but he still likes the parts just not the customer service..

thats why you see a price diffrance between tein and other companys. you get what you pay for.

not saying tein is bad stuff. their just low end coilovers. i've had the HA model then the HE model. they worked fine and i had no problems.

 

yeah he had a couple other friends try to get some replacement parts and it aint workin.. they want you to pay to send them back and get replacement dampers... havent heard that prollem with tein.. the reason they get stuck is b/c it's the inverted damper and the **** is on the bottom.. but it's an awesome ride.. if only they could get parts to fix it.. but i dont know
