Dont be a cheap *** and save up...Im not saying that megans are bad, but for a little more you can buy something better. You get what you pay for. Besides, you need RUCAS so add 150 to that price...

all you people that say you get what you paid for are right to a certain degree but that doesnt mean you cant get something awesome for a lower price. i picked up ksport coilovers for my s14 and the rock. 36 way adjustable, good spring rates, and so far they have been performing amazingly.

mx524 you are right. everyone has what they think is worth it in their mind. ive had tein flex and now have megan. i figure you should only spend soo much, they are a part that wears out and needs replacing and/ or rebuilding.

Coilovers really arent that necessary, it depends on your application.
As for me I just got some kyb agx's and tien drop springs with the additional cash I just bought strut bars and new strut mount's.
Spent $400 on the AGX's
Spent $89 on the Teins
Spent $60 a piece on new mount KYB brand
Spent $170 on the Strut bars front and rear.
There are other options than coil overs, not here to fight and start a debate.
But really Megan is crap on any level from the strut barz to the coil overs. The adjustable coil overs rust out at the screws when you fist get rain, that isn't good quality in my opinion.

Yeah imatation crap. They use the same shells to the coilovers. But all the small parts such as screws and threads arent stainless steal like APEX. Thats why there is a fat difference in cost, thats why it rust's out. Megan has only been around for the last 7 years and the company thrives through it's dealers on ebay. Go into any professional tuner shop and they will laugh when you want to go cheap on a suspension.
Before you consider coilovers you should learn how to drift and tune it first. I think half the people that buy coil overs don't even know how to adjust the pillowball mounting and springs properlly, and technically it's not even that necessary. The stock trim suspensions such as 240sx's and 300z's are already designed to handle well on the track. Most coilovers on the market are extremely overrated and the production to make them are just as simple as your basic strut. I just stick with brand names at affordable prices. Shure in most peoples opinion KYB AGX's may be plain to some, but they have revolutionized most of the suspensions you see on the market today, that includes APEX. KYB has been around for over 50years. I'd rather deal with a reputable company at affordable cost, than a sham company that sells crap like megan.
Really when you get 100MPH of Gforce on those crappy 1/2" thick strut bars "that dont stabilize and move around" do you think it really works? FUC# NO! I'm here to educate people to stop buying cheap gimmicks plain and simple.

Sorry guy's I will try to reduce the pics as soon as possible, I have to many stored in imageshack it will take me a day, I appoligize.
Vince

with that amt of cash I'd either save another 400 or so and buy some real coilovers or I'd poke around and find some used ones in good condition or find ones that I'd have refurbished...

I'm not crazy about the Tein Flex I have~ they're not bad, but I think the quality could be a bit better seeing as they're already rusting after just one winter... maybe this is normal but I think imma look into some JIC's or HKS coilovers next time around...

Get real coilovers.

all that 36 way adjustable is not really 36 way its like 18

but nontheless coilovers beat shock spring combo

regardless if you have ebay strut bars.

Yeah if it is a good $1600 dollar pair of billstien, NEX, APEX, TEINS, or KYB.........
I wouldn't waste my time with cheap coilovers, especially with one's that dont use adjustable pillow *****.
A friend of mine has the crap Megan coil overs, and I kick his *** every time with my KYB strut package.
I guess all it really comes down to is the better driver.
If your not top notch at using a top notch suspension, then really what is the point it just becomes a flare item if a person can't use it to it's full potential.
