Staggered wheel size?

what's up

i was wondering if using a staggered wheel size on the 240sx is better than using the same width all around? i know on a car like the mr2, you have to run staggered otherwise the handling gets messed up, but doesn't the 240 come stock with the same width on all four tires? i have noticed that a lot of people are doing the staggered, but in sport compact car, their 'project silvia' has the same width at all four corners, so i'm not sure. plus, when the tires are different widths, then you can't rotate the tires, right? any one have any opinions on this?

thanks

Jeff

in my glove box it says
195/60/R15
205/60/R15

i would think that it means that you could use ither,
if you have "staggered" tires you rotate them side to side (R-L)

Bad thing about staggered tires is as you said, you cant rotate all 4 of them so you can only do L-R/R-L. Most people run a staggered set up, and the reason the MR2 doesnt is because its a MR car(I thnk)

so if you need to run staggered tire sizes, do you have to run different wheel sizes? or can you just put slightly wider tires on the rear? i am asking all this because i want to buy 5zigen fn01rc wheels, and there is a set on wheelmax.com that has 17x8 front and 17x9 rear, but i was thinking that i would rather have 17x8 all around. what do you guys think? while i'm thinking about it, does anyone have pictures of the 17" fn01rc on a lowered hatch? i want to get an idea of what they look like, but i can only find them on s14's. thanks!

^^You can get 17X8s all around, run a 205 or 215 in the front and run a 225 or 235 in the rear.

cool...thanks for the info. so if i get 8" all around, then a +35 mm offset would be ok for all 4 corners? or do still i need like +25 in the front? would you guys recommend staggered or the same width all around? i'm new to 240's, so i want to make the right choice for the best handling.

^^Get +25 all around(or at least +25 in the front, you will like it a lot better. I would stick with one width size and use different sized tires
