R33 Skyline rear suspension-it fits!??

I have my car all apart right now, and was planning on installing a LSD rear diff and axles from a Skyline. I started looking at the Skyline subframe next to the 240's, took some measurements, and decided to try and just stuff the whole thing in there....it fits! I couldn't belive it the whole rear suspension with 5 lug and all bolted in. Doesn't get any easier than that. I'm going to have to get some 300ZX brake lines before I'll have brakes, but other than that it's ready to go. It's kinda cool too the Skyline has a rubber mounted diff so it will absorb some shock and be easier on the running gear.

Awesome, good to have some people on the forums that find stuff out like this first hand. I've heard the S15 does also.

well isn't the S14 rear suspension a shoot-off of the Skyline suspension in the first place, as is most of the front too? And then I remember reading that the S15 has a suspension that was even more close to being a complete move-over from the Skyline too? I noticed that there;s a lot fo suspension stuff that have the same part# or applications for both S14's and R33's (or is it R34's?)

Don't you hate when you read stuff quickly only to have to try to recall the info later on?

I also found out that the brake lines needed can be taken from the rear end of any drum brake civic, they have the female ends on both ends, just what's needed for the 300Z/Skyline brake conversion.

For the sake of sticking with my "Honda guys put everyone else's parts on their cars, but us Nissan guys stick with our own" rule, if I had to use a Civic part on my car... I'd let no soul know.

Good info though there man could be handy in an emergency

Also, what about suspention?
do you need to use the r33 struts? or will the S13 ones mount to it?

edit: and what about the e-break?

Sorry for the million questions, but i would rather swap the whole *** end instead of pickin at a few parts one by one.

From what I know, S14 and R33 have the same bolt pattern... S13 5-lug conversion IS basically S14 hubs, and the 300ZX conversion is also the same.

They're all 5x114.3

Don't take this as fact, but I've seen some REAR shocks advertised to fit S13/S14/R33, if I'm not mistaken. If that is the case, then I can't see why they wouldn't... but again, I'm not 100% sure on that
