Problem with coilovers

recently I purchased some coilovers from ebay and when I put them in I adjusted them all the way down and when I put the car back on the floor I saw that there was no little or no drop in the back and the front so I decided to take out the adjustable piece off so when I was dose with that there was a noticeable drop in the back and none in the front.

I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem too and if they did anything to fix it

You might have left the top spring seat on in the front. Take that off.

Those R-1 Ebay coilovers are pretty bad man... not to pop your baloon, but you get what you pay for - and considering that Ground Controls (probably the only accepted COIL OVER SLEEVE setup for the 240) are about $400, you can't expect much for $60.

COIL OVER SLEEVE. Just wanted to type that again for the Jynx monster.

Anyways, if you remove the spring seat, then the bottom of the spring will be moving around alot on your shock seats, which I'm willing to bet my biscuits that they're not flat. Add in the quality of those R-1 units (not great) and you could end up in a potentially dangerous situation.

FYI The R-1 COILOVER SLEEVES (Jynx again lol) for an 89-92 240sx are EXACTLY THE SAME as R-1 coilovers for 97-00 Integra's. We checked them. The only difference is that the sleeve for the 240sc was shorter, to fit the front shock.

My suggestion: save up for some proven springs, like Whiteline or Eibach or Tein. It's not just a matter of quality and price, but your own safety too

no, of course safety matters I'm just disappointed if you can trust ebay who cant you trust. but like I said I just wanted something cheep to lower the car for now i know i should have bough something better but I'm broke I've gotten my front end, tail lights, and bodywork all in the past month and I'm still going to get rims and paint job. I know it wasn't good time to be cheep but something had to suffer for the cause.

Ebay is fine... it's the seller you have to look out for, bro. If I were you, why not just stay stock until you can get real springs, etc.? Sure you'll be a little high, but it beats wasting $60.

BTW you can try to get a refund and file with Ebay... they're pretty good at getting your $ back if you have the right info for them.
