Adding ABS

Adding ABS
I know all of you think you don't need ABS on a car and its more fun without it, but I find it more beneficial to have it. I know the 240SX 97 to 98 models had the option to have ABS but it can still be hard to find one with it. Is it possible to add ABS to a non-ABS car? If so, what would it take?
PS - I know the guy below my thread pretty much asked the same question but no one is giving him an answer. Just giving him crap about adding ABS.

then look at all the difference between non abs and abs.
for some one who finds it benefical then you should know alot about it.

I don't know why everyone is so against ABS. What the hell is wrong with it? You stop faster and sooner, its easier on your tires, and its better for road-racing. When I'm running my favor back road in the middle of the night, I'd like to be able to stop before I hit the deer. And don't start making this a *****ing match about what's better to have. I'm just looking to know what it would take if its possible.

with abs you dont stop faster or sooner, all it does is prevent wheel lock up while appling the brakes hard.
better for road racing says who?

See, this is what I'm talking about. I dont want to ***** about whether or not ABS is a good thing. All I wanted to know was if it was possible to add ABS. Good for you that you dont think you need ABS. I like it. I know many racers that wouldnt race without. So stop trying to pick a fight.

Not picking a fight, your just getting defensive.
But hey jackass i said down load the FSM and see all the **** it takes to get ABS.
Or sell your car and buy one with ABS.

Trust me, I'm looking for one with ABS. And thanks for the website link. It was the first place I've found that gave you that info for free. I think the link to the download for the S14 Silvia manual is messed up. I tried it twice and it messed up my internet.

as was said ABS doesnt stop your car any quicker it just allows you to keep steering control.
Your car woudl actually stop quicker if all 4 wheels locked up at the same time, since that woudl be the maximum amount of friction you could get. but in our world one or two tires dont lock up as fast or at all and it causes us to spin and slide and lose steering control
I prefer ABS also but trying to add it to a car woudl be uper expensive. There are so many little parts that you dont even think of when you think of your wheels not stopping. I can start listing items but i think you will find all the little thing in the FSM if you get it to work.

Thanks for the post. I didnt think it'd be too easy, but I was just wondering. I'm trying to find a 240 with ABS, but its harder than hard since I'm looking for something very specific.
