4 to 5 lug ABS question
I currently have an s14 4 lug with ABS. Im getting the 5 lug conversion this week. My questions are
1. Do i have to buy 5 lug rotors with ABS?
2.^ If i do this will the ABS still work?
3. What is involved in removeing the ABS system? ( i know the obvious like remove the pump but will i have to run new lines to the mastercylinder from the brakes or what)
Any help is wanted, From what i hear it is better not to have ABS what are your thoughts on my situation?

i dont know about the rotor but...i think the abs should work if ur just swaping out ur rotors...
when u change to a 5 lug, you have to look at the hubs u are putting in, there should be a ring around the back of the hub which should look like a dogtooth gear. you need this if your going to keep ur abs. theres also sensors on your spindle which are a ***** to take out, if ur gonna get rid or ur abs.
when i did my 5 lug conv. i got the hubs w/ abs, didn't know this until i took off my 4 lug hub and saw the ring. i also broke one of my abs sensors trying to take it off the hub.
i think abs is must if you have JUST the front calipers, mine kept locking up during my canyon runs. Once u do the Rear conv. O MAN~ what a difference, i like it just for the fact that i can predict when it will lock up, doesn't lock up unless i Slam on them....
well ABS causes understeer so thats the only downside, but you stop faster......
i found this out when exiting a corner, i woulda made it if the abs didn't turn on, my pass fander has a mark from the gaurdrail...battlescars......
