Sorry for bumping this old thread please dont close it. I would like to know if any of you guys have experience with clear-coating your headlights after cleaning them. I have heard that the clear coat will turn yellow over time, and that would defeat the purpose of the coat. What do you guys know from experience?

clearcoat on clear will turn yellow - especially on something exposed to heat (both sun and from the light). It might take awhile, but it happens. You're better off using a mild cleaning solution for plastics (or glass, if you have glass lamps) to keep the oxidation and crap off the surface
