Width of hood

Is a stock s15 hood exactly the same width as a stock usdm 95 s14 hood?

Try PMing S14.5 or Sizzo..they have S15 conversions so they got S15 hoods.

both hoods are 55'' at their widest point from fender to fender however the s15 hood is 55'' closer to the headlights were as the s14 hood is 55'' closer to the windshield.

i hope i make sense, lol

so your saying that the front of the s15 hood is wider then the s14 hood? front being closer to headlight.

thanks for your help

so say i took off the headlights and bumper off my s14 (1995) and put on a s15 hood. Would it not sit flush because of this width different?

Basically what I'm trying to do is a s15 conversion but I want to retain my stock fenders. I have no problem chopping the front of the fenders where it meets the new headlight and then fiberglassing the section back on, but I won't be able to widen the fenders if they don't fit at the hoodline.

So will my idea work?

I'd say just get some quality conversion fenders, it will save you alot of trouble..thats just my opinion though

i was thinking the same but I need my fenders to come out almost 2.5 inches on each side, so I am going to have to add on fiberglass fender flares. Since I"m doing this, I am just going to make a custom wide body on my car, and it is easier molding a female plug from oem body lines rather than using a fiberglass fender that I bought. Granted, it is easier to bond fiberlgass to fiberglass as opposed to sheetmetal, with the jbweld that we have today, it should be no problem.

So...would a s15 hood sit flush on s14 fenders?

thanks

sounds like a TON of work....and you might just end up buying the new fenders in the end.... but good luck!

yeah it is going to be tons of work. No one can answer for me? I guess I can just go ahead and buy the hood since I'm going to need it regardless of both situations.

thanks anyways guys.

if you're asking if it would be flush, you have the right idea. buy and try. you'll be doing a lot of work anyway. so i'm hoping for you it does
