No, I wouldn't say that. I'd put it more like I'm very very hard on my motors. I went through 2 SOHC KA's, and 4 total RB's. The first RB was blown up by an old friend of mine, who didn't let the motor/turbo cool after boosting for a while, burnt the seals on the turbo and fried the rings in the 3rd cylinder. The other RB that was previously blown before I bought it, was a junk yard motor, who knows why it was bad. My 3rd RB was sold, and the 4th one jumped teeth on the cam gear, which was probably just a weak timing belt from sitting for so long. My 1st RB took months and months and months of pure abuse, at between 14-17psi, plus a couple of spikes past 30psi due to a cheap MBC, revving over 8500rpm quite often, as you heard in the video (the 14psi run was over 8500 shifting from third to fourth). So no, I say the RB20 is a good motor. If you're saying RB's in general are crappy you need to go do some research.

Thank you, my first clip was 1500 shipped to my garage door, each long block afterwards was 700 shipped to me. Install time was a week and a half for my first motor, then I got it down to as low as 4 hours changing the long block out, and I've completed an RB swap by myself in 8 hours, 5 hours with a little help with manuvering it into the motorbay.

Where did you get that tach from? Was it the tach from the R32 cluster? Other than that, I plan on doing a RB swap in the future.
