Sanded my car, pictures
Getting the car ready for my body kit (kouki conversion ) and paint job
Shiznit should be sick....this was just a first time sand with 220 grit to get off most of the clear coat and some of the base coat

Yeah the Works are in the garage....just got new rear tires....I cleaned the wheels before I put them away for winter, so now they are ready to go right on!
I just don't want to put them on now until after the kit, because it will excite me prematurely hahaha
Going with white paint....when my kit comes (within a few days), I will test fit it, then do final sanding down to about 800-1000 grit.
Then everything will get get primered white, then some more sanding, then in for paint
I'm not going for show car quality paint, just something that looks clean and new.
Also, running TEIN SS suspension...I measure it at -1.8" rear, about -2.4" front
PS I hope I'm not stepping on your toes with the white koukiness....also, I love the Maxima wheels on your car in the sig, looks sick
So pumped.....

Looks good what kit are u going with? About sanding with 1000g u'll be there for a LONG time.I don't think thats necessary.(I'll try and ask my local shop what he recommends) My friend's car was repainted black, they scuffed old paint up and resprayed it. I however decided to sand off all my paint down to bare metal. I hated green my car finally goes in monday.

ha ha .. yea 1000 grit i think would be good enough... ill be doing this a few weeks or so.. im going to primer the car and then wet sand... not needed but i just want an very clean surface.. i have a paint booth so im free of environmental contamination somewhat.

Yeah I am going to continue sanding 400 then 800
Maybe 1000, then some primer, wet sand some more at like 800 or whatever, possibly re-primer and wetsand, then in for paint.
Gonna spraypaint all the hidden stuff myself (door jams, inside gas lid, trunk jams, etc.)
Version Select Version IV kit....don't bother trying to look for pictures there are almost none anywhere to be found...just far away shots.
Hopefully, kit comes in a few days, testfit fully, then beginning primering everything

mmm...me and yuta have had plenty of experience when it comes to bodywork..some words of advice...just because the paint is cloudy from sanding does not mean you took the clearcoat off...you must sand alot and clean even more to make sure your down to the paint...dont use a cheap primer...cuz it will chip real easy...and make sure your edges are down to the metal...because when you paint...after many years where does it start to peel first? the edges...because its not set right on the metal..trust me on this..and WETSAND EVERY COAT....even with primer...all the way down to like 1500 grit..or you will get many gouges into your paint and your finish product will be ****. take your time..dont rush it...its all about prep when it comes to the final touches of painting....oh and one more thing...use a sanding block as much as you can when it comes to sanding..or you will get dimples into your paint.
