I ended up not having it shaved. I think i'm going to go with a stub antenna from A spec.

I'm getting my car repainted it's original color, I think it's called Ruby Red (maroon). My dad is getting a discount, so the paint job is going to cost $1000.

I paid 30$ for a stubby Fuba antenna. It fits great, looks great, and gets AWESOME reception. I'll try to get a pic of it.

im pretty sure if you put a deck in an s13 youve noticed you need a specail adapter for the antenna. the reason for this is your car should factory have two antennas one on the fender and one in the top of the rear window looks sumthing like defrost lines but the top is an antenna now if you plug the adapter in with the clip on the opposite side it should now use the rear window antenna. thats what i did it works pretty good. the factory deck chooses between the two depending on which has better signal. or go to autozone or advance and get the window one mentioned above
