Thumbs up Remove Antenna, "shave it"

Hey, how much do you guys think a body shop would charge me to "shave" my antenna? I am supposed to bring my car for paint on Monday. I have a fixed antenna and I am thinking about having it removed and filled. Would it be better to get a power antenna, or "shave" the one I have?

You can buy in window Tape antennas that come with booster and will pick up more stations than your whip antenna could ever imagine. That is if they sell them in the states.........Which I am sure they do?

If you listen to the radio alot I'd either keep it, or if I would shave it get a window antenna. I'm probably gonna have mine shaved eventually but thats far off on my priority list. Don't know how much it would cost though.

This place has the window antenna with booster, a little over 3/4 the way down the page.

Get satellite radio.
Remove OTA antenna.
Live happy.

Screw the window antenna... Go to AutoLoc's website they've got a 'hot rod hidden antenna' picks up more than any of the previous antenna's mentioned and you can put it in your truck or wherever

Just pour gallons of bondo in the tiny whole till it's enough to sand even with the fender, LMFAO...

Yeah...........That is a good idea just fill your trunk with bondo too that way you don't miss a spot.

I shaved mine and havn't had any problem with reception at all. I'd either go satelite or just get an antennae booster
