Dropped $450 at the salvage yard this morning. Post-pone on pics till tommorow morning when Ill return to pick up 75% of it (with a truck mua ha ha).

On a second note I think lady luck was with me today. THIS morning they just got a 5TH 240sx in, perfect condition, just a bad motor. Mmm...

Alright, little something something for saturday morning.

Got to the salvage yard at about 9:30am, had to work reasonably quick because they close at 1pm on saturdays.

Ahh whats this? Mmm yes, complete headlight assembles (black casings, brackets, motors, blah blah)

Fresh from eBay, brand new dash bezel, VERY good condition... $10.00

This is the 240sx they just got in the morning before...

Yea thats where I got the headlights. Looks kinda like a Pontiac Sunfire now. (lol). This new (#5) will also be the doner for my quarter panels, as you can see:

Should be cut and ready for pickup tuesday (Rear Quarter Panel & Driver Side Rocker Panel).

Now me and my Mom's boyfriend (Jason) helping me with the interior, basically a big pile of interior parts forming:

This black 240sx has a very lucky hatch, non-rusted connection holes to the hatch.

Tore the carpet out to use as a template for the brand new carpet:

And finally the 240 has been gutted of all its crap:

Will be returning for the main dash next week (out of that red fastback I got the door and hatch off).

Both coupes in the original posts (check page 1) are now gone, hauled off to the crushers. So now the yard is down to just the three fastbacks. And two of the three have been ripped apart by me (lol).

On another funny note, a group of younger kids (teenagers looked like) were eyeball'n me and Jason while we gutted the 240, kinda felt like they where there looking for 240s to and were pissed we struck gold first. haha

More updates monday or tuesday.

Its like a toystore for gorwn-ups!

Damn this magic junkyard and there never ending supply of 240's. Said to crush them though :'( I bet somewhere, someplace, someone, would have given them some love.

Just some small updates.

Got the quarter panel and rocker panel in the back of my buddies yard now. Or should I say HALF A FRIGGIN CAR. They took a plasma torch and litterally cut the car down the center of the roof and floor. Wish I had the camera, was funny as hell driving down the road with a little Ford Ranger with half a 240sx in the rear bed.

Needless to say we are going to be cutting away alot of exess metal. LOL

On another note I decided to keep my rims in-house for now. I canceled my order on the Sportmax 962s and have a seller lined up for some 2002 SE-R Spec V wheels. $600, mint condition with awesome tires included. Gonna have to run some spacers though since the rims where designed for FWD cars.

Ive got a new compiled up to date parts list going, so far Ive reached $4,500 with a budget of $6,000.

yeah I need to find out where that junk yard is here in Indiana if you find a junkyard with a 240 you hit it big time, and you take all the parts you can carry and afford LOL, I have the infamous hatch problem but I'm getting ready to remedy it with a CF hatch, and replacing the doors with cf doors, well sounds like you have a big job ahead of you good luck.

So a couple of plans have changed. Im keeping the car white, instead of yellow. We also decided since we are doing some extensive body repair we might as well go all out....

A simple but pretty explanitory teaser...

lets take a nice quick look down memory lane and view how sexy your car is now... at least u have a stearing wheel that looks good. and some racing belts. hopfully u get that bad boy up and running from the grave and hope yours never ends up in the junkyard grave.
