Pride Performance Projects

Hello everyone, my name is mark manansala, im 18 and im new to the forum

long story short, i started drifted last season and have about 3 months worth of driving under my belt. With some of my potential showing it was time to undergo a new build to perform even better next season. My brother and his parnter recently opened a shop called pride performance based in freehold nj. With the new shop opened and new partners supporting us, we can't wait to see how this season will be!

feel free to visit www.pride-performance.com

now on to some of our projects:

starting with a timeline of myself...

heres my very first 240 when i was 16

the motor it had

unfortunately i left it at red**** and all my parts got stolen...

so then i had to come back with sumthin to drive and here i am with this car at 18. stock sr and suspension pieces just to get me going.

did some of this for the first time

then i brought it back home and did some more

soon the car was hurting for attention, so i got a new kit and got the car wrapped in vinyl.

fresh out the booth

come closer

more of this again

and when things couldnt get worse my old teammate crashed the car into the wall and effed everything up. Luckily i had a shell in my backyard and just cut it up and replaced the old panel.

so then i drove 10 hours to VIR

first time there and i qualified 12th out of 16 but couldnt compete cuz i didnt have an x bar

my car at the end of the season

sorry for massive pic thread but i have a lot to show

so now that seasons over it was time to rebuild my first car and heres a build up of it along with my teammates s13

my car use to be like this.

to this

i finally had time to start workin on it. And im getting it prepped for a roll cage.

this took countless hours of scrubbing with a brillo pad and simple green...

the only thing that keeps me wanting to finish this car!
My ka!!

Rebuilt with BC internals

i gotta a lot of work to do, but its just a matter of putting it back together when i get it back from the shop.

Now onto my buddy steves story haha.

We went to vir last year, stayed there for the weekend, drifted for a full day and a half, qualifying comes around, bang he somehow managed to crash pretty bad sending his car into a wall.

luckily we managed to get a shell for 300 bux from a good friend of ours. And we started work immediately. His build is farther then mine being he started a few months ago and his car is near completion

and the facility we work in haha

after the cars were prepped we sent our cars to get cages. Steves was done at pro fab, mine was done by LM24.

i picked up a z32 trans tonite and the car should be done with fabrication and back into my hand in bout a week or so. I gotta take off the subframe and clean it up, paint it, put suspension pieces on, paint the cage, interior, bay. From there its putting the motor together and wiring.

Are you doing any sanctioned racing? That cage doesn't look like it'd be legal.. anywhere.
