JDM ZENKI S14's 1JZ 180sx Build
I sold my rb20 like 3 months ago and bought this 1jz...like an idiot i did this mid season but oh well its coming together quicker than i thought...
srry for the crappy cell phone pics.
Took out the dash and started removing the body harness, we are planning on deleting most of the harness to run the only the necessities..
Kill switch, push button start and my switchs were running:
Still in the process of removing everything out of the engine bay:
just got a set of unorthodox pulleys, they were originally on our lexus sc300 shop car:
Last thing is i removed the rear sump oil pan and waiting on getting a front sump oil pan this week:
Us trying to figure out how to mount the motor:
we finally got it in but i wasnt to comfortable with the way the oil pan was sittin, according to Tech 2 you have to space out the sway bar so you can fit the oil pan. I said **** that and started marking the pan so i can notch it to make it fit:
next up is the shifter, here is where the stock location would be on the r154 trans. Im in the process of fabbing up the shifter extension:
So we took the motor back up and made a mock up oil pan and put the motor back in:
And wala heres how the motor sits, we have it on 2x4's on the the mounts so we can mock up the mounts tomorrow:
finally got my rukus racing mounts..cause i did not have the time nor materials to make the mounts
Now that the mounts were on this is how that motor sat ( to tell u the truth it fit better than my rb)
We are also using the stock ka mounts for now until my solid sr mounts come in...
Removed the A/C Compressor and made a dummy pulley..
Intercooler bracket that i made and my mishimoto black fmic...
Last but not least me contemplating what i want to do next hahaha
NOT SHOWN IN PICTURES:

- Buddy Club Spec 2 (On the way)
- Custom DownPipe (In the process of being made)
