Alright update, plus help needed

got me a boost controller, running 10lbs now, got the clutch in, pulls strong and car runs great - might be getting stance gr+ coilovers soon, got sportmax 962 wheels (gold) 17x7 up front, 17x9 in the back.

now then this is where i need help:
it's only happened a few times, whenever i drive for about 40 minutes, my clutch starts slipping at about 3200rpm - idk whats causing it. anyone know?
also, which tires/where should i buy them from for the wheels?

Wow there is some serious money spent on this car. What happened to your turbo stuff from the KA? If your clutch is slipping at 3200rpms that right around when your hitting full boost probably. Did you get the flywheel resurfaced? Is it an authentic spec clutch?

authentic spec clutch, yes. resurfaced clutch, not sure, gotta ask the mechanic that put it in. it only slips after about 20 minutes of driving though, it stopped doing it lately... and im selling my old KA w/ the turbo stuff for $2,500 on craigslist.

Theres your problem. Have you been giving it a break in period? Not going into boost for 500 miles? Keeping your shifts between 2000-3000rpm and not going above 3000rpm on any more than half throttle? That might be your problem, you might not have broken the clutch in properly which would explain why it seems to be slipping. How many miles are on the clutch/motor since you had the clutch put in?

Yeah, I broke it in for 450-500 miles (a letter was sent with the clutch saying 450). It has about 1,400 miles on it since I put it in.

hmm, the only thing I can guess now is that it is just a faulty clutch. Does it still slip?

Hmm. Try posting on the sr20 section in nico. They might have some more intellegences for you. How are you clutch lines? Slave/master cylinders? You could try bleeding them?

All I can say now is email spec about the clutch, see what they recommend maybe it was faulty, or maybe the mechanic installed it improperly? Spec should offer to take it back and at least check it out and if it is faulty they will most likely send you a brand new one. If it was the mechanic that installed it improperly then you would have to take it to him and talk to him about it. Something might not be torqued to specifications or something else. Hope you figure it out bud. Let us know what happens.
