driving lamps install help

hey guys. got these catz xsl lights a while back. just wondering what should i wire the orange wire (from the switch) to so i could have the lights on when ever i want without having to turn on the parking lights? would it be easier to just buy a switch from radio shack? i really dont know too much about electronics

If you want to be able to turn the fog lights on at will, just splice the orange wire to the red wire that goes to the battery. Although I don't recommend this as you can easily drain your battery if you leave them on when you park.

A better solution is to use a multimeter and locate a power source under the hood that only gets 12v when the key is in ACC. That way if you turn the key to OFF the foglights will also go off as a safety precaution. Splice your orange wire to that. An alternative here is to run the orange wire into the passenger compartment where you can find numerous "ACC only" power sources, but that takes more wiring.

got the all wires in, minus the switch. still need to route the switch to the cabin and mount the lamps. cant decide where to mount the lamps. then im going to splice it into the radio or a/c. i even cut out a hole in the blank panel by the rear wiper control to fit the switch in.

either this

or this

mounting the switch in the blank spot here

any opinions on the lamp positioning?
