I am personally offended that you are making a show car out of a perfectly good 240. Its people like you who give the import scene a bad name. The 240 was built to be a drifter's dream not a trophy. Show cars do next to jack all their life. Whats the thrill in that? Personally i enjoy going around a corner sideways at over a 100 miles per hour more than i enjoy to look at my car. WOO HOO LOOK ITS SO PRETTY!!! now what? nothing. Too bad you didnt invest the money to make it fast. How bout this, you get whatever youre going to tow your 240 with, load the 240 on your trailor. We'll drag race, whoever wins spent their money better. Go buy a civic, riceboy.

Im offended that you guys are making fun of him for trying to make a show car. Let him learn by himself. Its his car after all. Besides the 240 was NEVER built for a drift car thats just the car drifters picked as a good platform. If you want to flame, use PM's. 2 cents
By the way dude I heard a CF hatch is VERY fragile. Careful with that. Do not want it on a daily driver

bow down to s13 240...
anyway... i have built many a show car... and yes anyone can build one... but not many can win with what they have built... i have done both and then some... there is nothing wrong with building what you want... if you want to show it then do that... if you want to drive it then more power to you... how about driving your show car??? i did it for 3 years... and won at almost every show i went to...
as far as the cf hatch... i think the weight of the stock glass would cause it to flex and crack in places... i would not even use strut rods to help lift it if this was my car... the glass will be too heavy and i dont think i would want to take the chance of cracking it or messing it up in any way... get the lexan imo...
not to mention if this is a show car... the judges will like the fact that the lexan was used... then there is the bolts that you can use to secure it to the car... most race cars use mechanical fasteners to hold the lexan in place... the little hex head bolts on cars like john force top fuel funny car... if you turn every head in the same direction you can point that out to the judges... attention to detail when it comes to the white gloved show judge...

Best bet would be to go with the Lexan. More brownie points and it makes things easier. BTW, stop the flaming Like S13 said, it's his car. Some people like driving thier cars hard, others like having nice looking cars. Look at **** car. No one gives him **** for having a nice looking car even though it has Lambo doors. So lay off the haterade. I give a lot of respect to people who make show cars and build them up clean. It takes a lot of skill and imagination to make a good looking car. GL with your project man.
