Why are the V3's so limited to drop? Are they short stroke dampeners?

Never heard or read that the V3's were limited to drop, and yes they are short stoke dampeners.

Powered by MAX drops up to 3.5"
V3's front and rear 1.8"~2.2" from front to rear, that's a short stroke, limited to drop just like the kyb agx's, or tokico's.

I mean drop isn't everything, I guess if you don't plan on swapping lca's, ruca's, etc.

lets not forget, a good track car is not sitting on the ground. you need to make sure that there is going to be enough suspension travel so that you are not riding around on the bump stops all the time.

Ok, so this may seem like a silly question but on the s14 is the ACTUAL cat the part that bolts right to the exhaust manifold? (I'm assuming it is because the 2 o2 sensors are right before and after it) Or is it that cat looking thing right before the cat-back exhaust? That looks like a cat but someone told me it is actually a resinator, plus there is no o2 sensor down stream of it.

Its the one butted right to the exhaust manifold.

I figured as much, well that's gona be a pain if the cat has to stay in the stock location....

If I have to keep a OEM cat in stock location, I wonder if it wouldn't be best to go with a megan racing 4-1 header (ya, I can't believe I just that either, but it may be my only option) and downpipe, and put a OEM cat between them.

Well my new coilovers are suppose to be here tomorrow and the next event is this coming Sunday. Hopefully I'll have enough time Friday afternoon and Saturday to throw them on...

Hmm, the thread seems rather quiet lately...

Well for those that don't know after much discussion and debate amongst car guys I decided to get a set of KW V3 coilovers and my opinion after running on them is a big  . Being able to adjust compression and rebound independently is a big plus, and of course the ride height adjustments are nice too now

Well the event this past Sunday went very well, I scored a 953 overall PAX (out of 1,000) with a raw time of 41.461 (placed 3rd out of 7 in class, 32nd out of 105 over all). I also got to play with the adjustments a bit on the KW's in TO runs and with a little help am beginning to dial in the new suspension

And of course finally the in car video of my best run:

Haha, I would have done this, but the camera is mounted on the roof, and the wind was kinda bad that day, so you can't event hear my exhaust, just a lot of wind noise, so I added some music instead.

When I get a decent sounding vid at an event I'll post it up.
