300ZX Brakes.....finally! (w/pix)

Brembo Slotted Vented Rotors (Front Pair) $195.00
300zx SS custom Front brake line conversion $53.00
Z32 Calipers (30mm iron calipers) $63.86
Z32 Caliper Hardware $70.00
Z32 EBC Greenstuff Pads $60.00
Machine Shop ReDrill $100.00

total ~ $550

If i could have done it again. I would have bought KVR Z32 rotors from PDM. Would have saved $40......also, no one tells you that plain calipers DO NOT come with pad pins, pad pin clips, spring clips, plus i bought a Z32 master cylinder reservior and cap that i didn't end up using.

don't think i'll do the rear. the pedal feel is great with the current setup.

300ZX front 30mm calipers/11" rotors.
stock setup in rear.

i was gonna originally change the master cylinder to 300ZX, but bolted on the calipers first and went for a drive. it felt ok, so i returned the master cylinder. i'll probably save the money for the next upgrade........carbon fiber hood to replace that heavy-*** hood. but i think i will paint the rear to match the front.....duplicolor vht paint........trying to emulate the 350Z brembo brakes.....don't know if anybody noticed, but i did shave off the "Nissan" lettering off of the caliper, this was so my rims would clear(40mm offset).....didn't want to use a spacer.

You would have to find a site to host the pictures for you, then once they are hosted, you could use code to post them up. As for the car question, go to your user CP and its in there somewhere.

thanks for the comments.....now i really want to get rid of these 215/40/17 tires and get 225/45/17s.......i think that will get rid of the wheel gap.

You know, with a spring and strut loweirng kit, you can cut the spring, and your ride will still be stiff. Cutting a lowering kit is not like cutting stock srpings. Them metal on a lowering kit is much more dnese, so cutting your existing lowering kit will get rid of your fender gap, and you will still have a stiff ride (note whenever you change ride height, you risk your struts going bad) looks good.

Now this is a stupid question, but z32 is a model of 300zx right? I mean when you say z32 calipers, you mean calipers off a z32 300zx right? So the only thing you need to buy aftermarket that does not come stock on the 300zx already is a brake line conversion?

i'm definitely not cutting the Eibachs.....i figure they spend alot of money in R&D, so i'd better not mess w/that. i've seen another setup like mine Eibach sportlines/KYB running 225/45/17 and it looks much better....so, i may just get the rear tires for now, or better yet. leave it be......i just bought a turbo kit for my integra, so that's where my money is gonna go for the next few months. i'm having to share funds between the two cars.

As far as i know, Z32 is the body code for the 90-96 300ZX, just like integras are DC2, DC4, DC5, etc.....silvia aka S13......anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.......and yes, the brake line is the only part that is not on a 300ZX.
