Thumbs up OS Gikken clutches

Got my brand new OS Gikken super single clutch kit yesterday. It came complete with the chromoly lightweight flywheel, throw out bearing, pressure plate and clutch disc. The one nice thing about the clutch kits is that it includes a flywheel custom built for the clutch and your car so there is no screwing around with seeing what will work or not. Then its pretty damn cheap for one of the best clutch kits available in Japan it cost me $690 total including shipping and taxes. Now the key thing about them is that the entire kit is rebuildable. Yep is I cook this clutch in a year or two I can just take it apart, order the rebuild pieces and save alot of money. The rebuild kits are about $100 which is alot cheaper then buying a whole new kit. I'd post a pic of it but its slightly too large for the limit. I can post a side shot of it though.

That is a good deal for a combo like that.

Let me know if you want one and I can put you in touch with the shop who ordered mine. I got the clutch in hand 2 days after ordering it.

Yea, but your in Japan right? It would probably take a lot longer for me to get it, plus the shipping would be more. You said it is custom built for your car, so is it like an ECU upgrade, in that you tell them the estimated HP and they build it around that? Thanks...

The kits are over designed but damn nice. In my case I had to be real specific cause the GTI-R and the Silvia have different transmissions. Its supposed to be safe for twice the power I have now. The only higher powered version would have been the twin plate and its for 900+hp cars. I'd have to say about an extra week to get it to you in the US.

Ok......the only thing is I'm not exactly ready to get it yet. I need to take care of some other things first. Can I hit you up when the time comes?

After buying another GTI-R for parts I found it had a OS Giken twin plate clutch in it. Not sure what to do with it though. Might sell it to one of the guys in the US who's got a GTI-R motor in their 200SX.
