anytime type of sponsered intake is good, from what i can tell, and the report from Import Tuner some while back, Injen is a good intake for the 240sx, i think about a 10 hp gain... abit pricey however, but thats the price you pay for quality ^_^

Hooray for CARB limiting us to expensive intakes, lol. Yeah, Injen is good quality. You'll be off real good with one of those.

greenjelly lives in Texas, so CARB means nothing to them... if you're in the spending mood, Injen or AEM. If you're in the "as long as it works - I don't care about name" mood, then get a generic intake from Ebay and change the air filter to a real K&N.

It's that simple.

i have one of the off-brand intakes which is 2.25" outside diameter. it's dumb because you have 3" intake (I THINK it's 3") at throttle, then couplings down to 2.25", then back to 3" for MAFS.

so, my question is this! are the name brand (AEM and Injen) 3" piping all the way? or do they slim down in size too? thanks!

fyi, the injen is 3" diameter....

now to decide if
1) spend lots of $$ on injen - cheapest i found was 190 shipped
2) make custom 3" short intake, maybe CAI ... and relocate battery for much less $$
