I've been having a hard time finding a 240 that is in decent condition and not overly priced in New England.
I live in Massachusetts and I'm willing to drive between 100 to 200 miles to pick up the car.
I'm looking for any year between 89 and 94 240's, preferrably coupe not hatch. MT only.
I desperatly need to get rid of my 97 Dodge Ram 2500. Gas prices are killing me >.< Time is of the essence and things are going to be happening quickly :\ I know its why everyone else is here, but please help a guys dream come true.

I will keep my eyes open. I live in Vermont. It took me two years to find a good 240. It was rust free and only 80,000 miles on it. No power window our a/c. Had a little front end damage. Easy fix.Work still in progress on the car. Have four kids and not alot of time. Can't wait. It will be four years in the making.

Only paid 700 for the car with a lien.300 for the lien to be taken off. I did find a 200,000 mile rusty 240 for 400 and bought it for parts.

awesome, thanks a lot Dave I really appreciate it. I actually found one semi-locally that I'm looking at buying. I just need to sell my truck asap so I have enough to buy it. I already test-drove it and fell in love instantly. I will definitly be posting pictures/links asap if I get it... ::crosses fingers:: its on the road in a busy intersection however so all I can do right now is hope >.<

My honest opinion: Check autotrader.com . Search for the car you want, and select any distance from your zip code. Find a car that interests you in a rust-free area (South, SW...). Fly out and then drive it back.
I flew to Miami to buy my 240 and drove it back. Still no rust and the fasteners are easier to work with than any car that has seen even two winters on the road around here.
There is no way I would buy a 10+ year old car that has been put to winter driving use in the northeast.

I finally got an inspection sticker for my 240 on Friday. The first night I was driving it around some guy followed me through 2 towns to offer to buy it. He had one that got crashed and can't find a replacment.

Salem.
We didn't get into price since I told him no way right off the bat.
I was offered $7k for it before I put in the SR... but I think that person was just on crack or something.
