smog laws in CALIFORNIA
California LAW says that all sellers MUST smog the car before the sale of the vehicle, even if the car just passed smog the month before. Each time a car transfers owners it REQUIRES a smog test. Being that you have a SR20, it wont smog, i can almost guarentee it. Ive owned 3 turbo cars, and smogging is a HUGE PAIN IN THE ***!! Especially since the state has gone to dyno testing..,,,
The buyer of your car will require YOU to smog it, its the law. So the best of luck to you, cause i doubt the car will pass the test...
I would just hold onto the car for as long as you can.....

-will not ship unless buyer is SERIOUS and willing to pay ALL shipping fees. otherwise, its a huge pain in the *** I'm not willing to deal with.
-will consider trades depending on what car and how much cash.
-I've continued to modify and make minor repairs to the car (I'm about to paint it white). So the price will go up to reflect the additional money I've put into the car. Probably $8000 firm after the paintjob. If no one wants to pay that price, I dont mind keeping the car.
-I will have to smog it again since the 3 month window has passed. Smogging an sr20det equipped vehicle isnt cheap. So before I do, I need to see serious committment from a buyer.
-be careful of the "advice" you read on these forums, sometimes they dont know what theyre talking about. go research it for yourself (which I've conveniently done for you below).
