FS in Central CA: 1995 240sx Base NOT RUNNING!
I have had my car for almost a year broken down, sitting in my garage, until now with no intention of selling it, but to fix when I could afford it. I am in the middle of the fix (problems below), but do not have the time, and am leaving for the military soon, so definitely won't have the time to fix. I love this car, but am coming to terms it isn't going to work out.
Here is the current engine problem:
From my understanding, with the help of my mechanic dad, the timing chain is loose, and messed up the guides, and the timing chain skipped some teeth and it wouldn't start. An auto shop estimated that the valves might be bent, but I haven't gotten the head off to check. As of yet, I have priced a full timing kit (still don't know if that's more than I need) at $500 USD.
A little about the history of the car (as found out on CARFAX). Can't remember exact details of dates and exact cities, so feel free to check it (PM for VIN), but here's the rundown:
It was bought brand new by a rental agency in Midwest, and was used by that company for a few years until the first private owner bought it. He moved with the car to San Francisco, where he sold it to a guy in LA. He removed the governor, and repainted it black (from maroon color). I bought it from him, and added performance exhaust, front brake rotors, and performance spark plugs and wires. I drove it for pizza delivery from Apr 06 when I bought it until Feb 07, also newspaper delivery from May 07 til Sept 07. It broke down in Dec 07. I put about 100k miles on it (averaged), and drove it like a new car.
Here is everything I can think of about the car:
1995 Nissan 240sx Base 2.4L 4-cyl. Auto. 2-Door Sports Coupe
Great gas mileage, avg 22/27 city/hwy.
~240k original miles.
Doesn't run, needs timing kit (estimated $500 USD).
Front main seal oil leak.
Missing left side speakers.
Minor body damage to left rear body panel.
Broken Odometer.
New MP3/CD Player, incl. OEM stereo.
New front tires & brake pads.
New battery.
Fresh oil and filter, incl. trans. oil & filter.
NGK Iridium IX Spark plugs and Bosch wires.
Neutron Performance After-cat Exhaust w/ custom 2.5" piping
[front] Rotora Drilled/Slotted Ultra-High Performance disc-brake rotors.
Custom Moon Roof.
Custom interior finishing.
Needs smog/ reg/ new license plates.
I am keeping: JDM Silvia badges and license plates/ frame.
Neon (as viewed in pics) is no longer on the car.
That's pretty much anything I can think of.
I can take whatever pics you want me to.
My email is sxys14@hotmail.com, checked multiple times a day, so that is a better way to PM me than on here.
EDIT: Moved pics to own post.

Pictures when I first got the car:
Now pictures of August 2007 (3 months before it broke)
Here are some new pictures showing interior trim and details.
Console shifter detail.
Radio trim is broken. Pic of deck asap.
Dash vent detail.
Gauge cluster; red switch was for neon, no longer wired.
Opposite door is identical.
Rear deck speaker covers
Cracked fender with size comparison.
Inside moonroof hinge.
Moonroof latch.
I cut the carpet to remove it, but couldn't without taking out the console, so I had to leave it in here. Simple sewing job should make it look good.

My dad has a car trailer, and has offered to tow to a reasonable distance (say, 300 miles max). For those farther, I wouldn't mind meeting at a halfway point. Anything further is buyer's responsibility.
I want to add that I am NOT open to cashier's checks. I prefer paypal or straight up cash. Obviously PayPal must accept payment before I release the car. This isn't my first time buying/selling a used car, but i am fairly uneducated to the normal operating procedures. haha. Any more questions, lemme know.
Sorry, forgot to post locale: Paso Robles, CA 93446

UPDATE:
+ since all the oil/fluids have been sitting, I will drain before selling
+ my faceplate was stolen out of my storage unit while the car was inoperable, so I will reinstall the OEM radio, but include the deck if anybody wants to try to find a faceplate. Also, I do not have a FM/AM hookup for the Pioneer deck, so if thats your choice to keep the deck, radio doesn't work
