new plus a question

havent posted here much since i joind mostly into the domestic market but started with the JDM after seeing a Silvia s15. OMG I LOVE THESE CARS!!!

my quesiton is, can i take a say 91 240sx hatchback and but a silvia s15 front end on it. also is there a simply way to convert it to right hand drive while keeping it to USA safety and left seat usability

you can do the 15 front end swap onto either a 13 or 14. Alot of people have done it. Search around and you will find some good pix and info. ALot of companies offer it.
Dont do RHD swaps, get the real car.

Welcome to the forums.

The s15 front end conversion is a very common thing that is done to any year 240sx. Search around the forums for it (s13.5, strawberry face, s15 conversion, etc). RHD conversion has also been done before, it's not too difficult to do in itself, but it is not practical at all. It can make driving on roads designed for LHD vehicles tough and give you larger blind spots, drive throughs and toll booths will also be unreachable without a passenger, extreme leaning, or getting out of the car.

dont do rhd, theres almost no reason to do it unless you either plan on having a show car, or plan on having the worst time of your life with its inconviences. since youre just getting into the japanese car scene, enlighten yourself and read as much as possible in these forums along with zilvia and etc for info.

rhd is kinda cute. say you had an auto shell without any hardlines, get a jdm front clip and swap a lot of the junk in. makes sense.

welcome, i do RHD conversions all the time. i love it. ive driven RHD here in the states for about 4 years now. sure theres nuances, but the attention is great. plus i found that with a viscous style diff, it balances the car out a little better.
