New to The Board with a Cheap Price Tag

Hey what's up everyone. My names Armard and I'm from the St. Louis Area. I'm proud to say that I just bought my first car. Actually I got a pretty sweet deal. I bought two 89' 240SX's for $500. But one will be just a parts car. But none the less, it's not that bad of a deal. They guy I bought them from said he just wanted to clear out his garage Well anyways, thanks for listening. Later

Welcome.

I thought I was the only one. I bought my '89 coupe for $250. Just needed a clutch and it ran fine.

They are out there. But beware. The replacement parts can get you spending over what a working car can cost.

Sweet man! I'd buy a car for 500 dollars just to take it apart and put back together for fun. Get to know the inner workings of it and learn some mechanics skills.

Got mine for free, but had to pay to get it shipped...so you could say that I spend 300 on it. Hence the reason I dont mind working on it

Welcome to the site HotSauce!

This man speaks the truth!

I've spent well over the purchase price on replacement parts. But I bought the car planning to upgrade all that stuff anyway. Ok, the radiator was a $400 surprise, but still....

Thank you.

At the rate I am running the guy should have paid me to buy the car. Hahahaha Thankfully friends with spare parts go a long way.

Post any parts that you need on this site or any other forums. Let the 'net work for you. I have to recoup the $60 a month I spend on this ****.
