"In the 2005 model year, Nissan launched its first factory equipped NISMO vehicle, the Nissan NISMO Frontier. In addition to the advanced technology and solid performance found on every new 2005 Frontier, the NISMO Frontier model offers an extensive list of performance-oriented off-road parts, including an electronic locking rear differential and traction assistance controls, NISMO-tuned Bilstein® performance shocks, skid plates and unique 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with aggressive BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/A P265/75R16 off-road tires."

Yeah, so probably BS.

I've never driven a vehicle with a locking rear diff, but I don't know if I'd like it. I mean, it would probably be solid at first, but it just sounds like something that's bound to fail. Everything Nissan that's electronic likes to show it's dark side eventually, LOL!

lol nismo makes good stuff remember the parts were designed and made in japan and the slogan was made by american marketers... but i do agree Nissan USA should know by now if a customer knows what Nismo even is they shouldnt have to make up BS slogans to try to sell us stuff lol.

if nissan fixed their sales man so they can be more knoledgable about the company.

i went to Nissan dealer for fun to see what info i could get about the new GT-R and the sales man could only answer howmany cylinders it was gona have and that it was awd.....

i asked if Nissan was sticking with Garret Turbos on the GT-R and all i got its a: Um huh? what do you mean...

then i asked if the new GT-R was gona have AYC and his response was: yea its going to have Navigation... then i said no i said AYC not navi you know Actice Yaw Control. so he said i dont know lol...

i say Nissan teach your sales people about the cars you sell and make a new Cheap RWD car and you would be set

dayum i went way offtopic sorry so ya there have never been a nismo eddition 240sx there have been nismo silvias but not 240's

So I am planning to make my own engine mounts tomorrow using a write up I found on 240SXtech but I can't find the type of threaded rod (12x1.25) that's used in the write-up. I should just be able to use any thread rod I want and get nuts to fit right? Or is there a reason for using this specific thread and pitch? I know the finer the thread the stronger the hold but I can find pretty fine thread and it's not like it's going to be holding the head on or anything. Also, i'm still looking to buy a LSD but I need to know the answer to my question in post #44. If any one can help please let me know and I would be very greatful...
