im new!
just got a 1993 nissan 240sx se for $250
my brother got it from a kid that owed him some money and didnt exactly have the funds to pay him, then he sold it to someone he knows, that in turn now owes him money, so in all i pay the difference of $250 for the car (were not the mafia i swear)
so it has somethig like 150k on it runs great
its a project car so its going to need work.
and i think i want to do the engine and suspention(not ready for coilovers yet[$$$]) mods first before i do the body work
because as soon as it looks ok i know i would want to drive it
i have about three grand set aside now for it.
any opinions and or sujections would be greatly appreciated
thank you

i know its a horriable color.
the hatch was replaced due to a fender bender and some rust issues, its black now so i plan on doing the body work arround the rear and painting the whole car black.
then some stiff suspention upgrades dont know the opyions for that yet (ill ask that question in a differend thread)
as well as a 2.5in cat back system with a high flow cat
cold air intake, headers probally.
im wondering what does anyone think the easiest way to repair the rear qurter panels?
there is a pic of it above.

I dont know why everybody hates on Cherry Red Pearl. I like it, but yeah, that is some sorry paint. Do a rustoleum paint job.

And do a lot of research before you go buying performance parts. You have a LOT of options with the 240sx, such as an SR20DET or CA18DET engine swap or turboing the stock motor. Check out www.ka-t.org.
By the way, welcome to the club man.

the paint itself is in ok condition, its all the bondo used to smooth out the dents and dings is the body that you're seeing,
anyway in the secont pic you can see that the bumper is not flush with the rear pannel, i must fix that. and to tell you the truth im afraid ill have to hammer it back out and ill end up having to re-body fill the whole thing
idk
any opinions/advice??

woah, woah...
not ready or coilovers yet, i stated that in my first post, nothing against them at all, but they will come when the car is ready for them, [i.e. whenever i get arround to adding a turbo or doing a motor swap]
i just want to go with a good tight spring/shock combo with a slight drop.
im thinking something like Eibach Sportline springs and KYB AGX shocks.
(yes i am a noob, but i do know how to read.)
17x9 wheels would be nice i want to fill up my wheel wells as much as possiable
it is all stock except for the front strut tower brace.
