hello everyone
I just wanted to introduce myself. I drove nothing but Hondas until i met a few friends that owned 240's and ever since I rode in one I had to have one. So since my tubo civic got stole I bought an 89 coupe. I will be doing my swap with in a month in a half. If anyone has a question about car audio, mobile video, or alarms I may be of assistance. I do that for a living so if you have a question, "HOLLA".

hey! since you're a audio guy...let me ask you a question
my sister has a 94 altima GLE
cd stopped playing and front speakers were going on and off...
so i've bought a new stereo and installed it...but same result...
does this has to do with a factory amp?
i'm confused?
any help?
thanks...

Hey, there is a couple things that maybe the problem.
Does the altima have the bose system in it. In the bose system each speaker has its own amplifier right on the speaker, and they might be going bad.
Does the system have the active system. If it does its usually labled right on the speaker grills. In this case no the factory amplifier will not come into play because in the active system, the rear speakers are the only speakers that are amplified.
Does the car still have factory speakers if so then that might be the problem because if the speakers are blown then the radio will go into protection mode and you will have no audio coming out and the radio will still be on. And if you did put new speakes in it on of the speakers maybe grounding out. Make sure that none of the speaker terminals are touching metal.
Did you put an after market amplifier in the car if so then it sould be bad RCA's, one of the channels have gone bad, answer some of these questions so i have an idea of what may be the problem and tell me what brand the products are and what you actually installed in the car so far
