Hello all! S12 owner here.
Hi all. My name is Waylon. I live in Las Vegas Nevada. I own a 85 200sx AKA S12. It was originally a CA20E/Auto car but now its becoming a CA18DET/Manual. Had been sitting for 2+ years with a blown headgasket when I got it. Block was rusted beyond repair. Didn't know jack back then about Nissans or all the other engine options out there so I found a remanned CA20E to put in. Did research and found a CA18DET but before the swap I found misfortune and was living very tightly paycheck to paycheck so no swap for me at that time. Anyway, as of now the CA18DET is suuuuper close to being ready to fire up. The Manual trans swap was done over a year ago right before I moved from NorCal to Las Vegas. S13 CA trans from the CA18DET used. 1 piece driveshaft. Diff is welded. No suspension work yet but I have some parts collected for that already. Will be doing S13 front end conversion. Q45 or so front brakes and Z31 Turbo vented rears are in the plans also.

Just before the CA20E crapped out. Overheat to warped/cracked head. Not worth it to fix.
CA18DET finally getting torn down.
Last time it was CA20E powered. Blown headgasket and 3 cyl power lol
Engine just about ready to go in. Euro T25G btw
More progress on the swap since these pics. Only have a little more wiring inside and then the wiring near the AFM to mate CA18DET to S12. Then its just fluids and fire it up. Very excited to drive it again. I DD a CRX and dont get me wrong its a great car with great mileage but FWD is getting soooo boring lol
