Not necessarily....On my old car, I went thru 3 or 4 batteries before i realized that's what the problem was. I would buy a new battery, it would work for about a week, and then it would go back to not turning on again. When I tried to turn the car on, nothing would turn on- not the lights, not anything. I checked all the fuses, and they were all okay. It was a wild guess, but I replaced the alternator, and it didn't ever do it anymore.

Speaking of alts. when I run my headlights at night (to see of course) they work fine but I can see a little bit of a flicker on the back on cars in front of me at close range. And when I'm stopped at a light or whatever, ALL the lights dim just a little bit. Once I give it gas again though they return to normal. I was thinking alt.'s going bad. Anyone wanna confirm this? Thanks.

the flickering could just be the houseing shaking and the diming happens to me when i stop fast and let the revs drop from high

The dimming is anytime I'm stopped/idleing. And how do I fix the housing shaking?

l2aine, that's a re-post, but yeah would be so much fun... that run he made definitely reminds me of the Nurburgring track. Man I'm going to have to make a trip to Germany sometime just to drive there... [autobahn is a given]
