Thanks to everyone for the comments. Hopefully this will become a reality. First step is to sell the "old" car though which is probably going to be somewhat of a hard sell.

Definitely as different swap. Someone needs to find a picture of the one evo's engine bay with the engine mounted transversely for a RWD setup. That will give a better idea of how this would work.

Of course you will get crap for this, but that doesn't mean its bad, just different. I got tons of crap from the miata crowd when i put an sr20 in one

I understand what you mean. We use to get it all the time when we were the first to mount the engine transverly in a 1G eclipse. Not to sound lilke a ricer but, the evo from f&f toyko drift had this conversion done I do believe. RMR did the swap. I also believe there is a d1 car now that has the 4g63 engine mounted in a rwd configuration. This:

The ones done by RMR actualy retain the standard setup, but use a front axle and diff delete. They sell it as a kit.

There is one i was shown a picture of recently that look very well done and would look right at home in a 240

I thought that may have been the case with the rmr car. They actually called us while in the process of doing this and ask for some parts and such. Of course we thought they were crazy, lol. If you find a pic of that evo you are talking about I would deff. like to see it.
