a autox classing question...
ok so i have a 1995 nissan 240sx se and i just finished my novice races here in phoenix in autox. so far the only aftermarket mod the car has is crossdrilled and slotted brake rotors (which puts me in sts class). i wanted to put in cams from a 93 nissan 240sx, and the n60 maf sensor (done some research and these are suppose to be better). so my question is is back-dating like this permitted in the sts class or will i have to move up to dsp to do this?
i was reading the rule book and it said "no modification or replacement may be done to the mass airflow sensors or to engine internals", but i thought i had read somewhere that back-dating was ok as long as it was from the same make and model car.
thanks for the help guys!

I think if you asked the guys who you auto-x with if its alright they would be fine with it. And if you don't they probably wouldn't know hahaha. I am running a 5 series maf on a 3 series and my local Auto-x didn't care after I asked them. You get to the a higher level though and they will nickle and dime you on every rule.

ya i know nobody here at the local events in phoenix will care, but i would like to be able to compete at nationals (someday ) and i don't know how strict they are there with rules and inspections. I asked about it on my autox forum, but nobody is answering my question because they are all fixated on the opic of the possibly of the swap, saying that that swap could not be done

modding is not even a issue until you start winning alot out of no where in you respective class
once that happens people will challenge your car to make sure its with in standards.... if something fails you will be DQ-ed
