attending autocross events ( other then drifting events) will be my thing for sure once my car gets better footwork. I was into grip driving befor drifting and practice daily on diff streets while driving. All autoX does is make u one hell of a driver on the streets. Many of the skills u pick up in-between the cones may save u and ur car from some tough situations that normal motorist could not avoid ( Intersection crashes) www.Scca.com to find out the latest AutoX events near you.

Its been a few years since I've done it. But I used to go to Pocono Raceway, Watkins Glens, and Summit Point to lap on the track.
Carguys.com has weekend deals. 2 days on track with instructor in your car.
Plus you can join Porsche Club of America or the Miata or S2000 clubs and they have organized lapping days also.
Its an absolute blast. Pocono is the fastest track with the least amount of curves. (You use the north and inner track) I was able to sustain 145 in my RX-7 on the straigtaway and 155 (the fuel cutoff on a 94 Supra TT.
Watkins Glen was fun because of the elevation changes and curves.
Good luck.
I'll be picking up a newer sports car this fall to start that again.
I wouldn't try it in my 240 though. Just don't trust a 15 year old car and top speed.

Lucky for me I live 20 mins from VIR .( www.virclub.com ) You should look into joining your local SCCA as they'll have plenty of info on events for your region .
