Quick question Night , can this swap be done in say an S14 I beleive it is , 95 to 98 240 ? Or is this much more difficult ?

I like the look of the S14 much more even though it would cost a little more to aquire.

S13 and S14 is practically the same swap. They have the same issues and same things that need to be done when swapping. It wouldn't be any harder to do if you like that body style better.

Dude you are the man , you made my day lol. I need to learn alot more about this swap still but. Everytime I ask something you never miss a beat and hit the nail on the head with the answers.

Is there more of a reason to choose one over the other ?

Like why did you choose yours ? ( Or was it cuz you already had the car ? )

More parts for S14 vs S13 ? I am guessing if the swap is the same then the rest is cosmetic ? Like you will still have the same availability of parts for that engine ? Even though it is in a newer car.

Anyone else is free to jump in on why to choose S13 over S14 and Vice Versa.

Night
U should be more specific about it. or maybe u didnt know..
s13 red top and black top are same power just that black top is never!!
s14 and s15 only have black top and has a hump or a slant at the end by the firewall of it.. they have vtc which is like vtec

so basically s13 sr red and black is 205 hp no vtc
s14 is 217hp with vtc
s15 is 245 hp with vtc

RB25DET Clip - $3250
Parts for Install and fully running - $600
$3850 total.

SR20DET Red Top Clip - $2750
Parts for Install and fully running - $100
$2850 total.

RB25DET - 250 RWHP
SR20DET - 175 RWHP

RB25 responds to mods better than the SR and has far more torque as well as more hp capacity. It has more potential and is more reliable due to it's stock handling capacity. RB engines are Nissan's signature engine line.

My car ran a 12.6 @ 114mph with Intake, Downpipe, Exhaust, LSD, Spark Plugs, Custom Driveshaft, and a Stage 4 Clutch.

Just to take the numbers listed above to get a ratio for HP/$:

RB25DET - .0649 HP per $1
SR20DET - .0614 HP per $1

Prices vary on either swap, but you're looking at more hp per $ out of the RB25 than the SR. You're also looking at an engine with greater potential. To get the SR to match the RB25 in power, you're gonna have to spend thousands more than you would on the RB25.

Check this link.

I know that it's a '91, but the engine bay on that and an 89-90 shouldn't be any different. I might be wrong here, so check with Night, the local rb expert.

Yo night where do you get your rb25 performance parts from? I did some research but it's all rb26 stuff. Do you get it from your friends in Japan.
